Big Tigger Arrested On Battery & Child Cruelty Charges

Big Tigger gets arrested on battery and child cruelty charges after his wife’s injuries spark a police investigation in Atlanta.

Big Tigger landed in custody Saturday morning after authorities booked him on battery and third-degree cruelty to children charges in Fulton County.

The legendary radio personality and former host of BET’s iconic “Rap City: Tha Basement” posted $10,000 in surety bonds and was released the same day, with $9,000 tied to the aggravated battery charge and $1,000 connected to the child cruelty count.

The arrest stems from an ongoing domestic investigation that began in May when his wife, Alicia Brown, sought medical treatment for injuries she sustained.

According to WSB-TV, police records show Brown was transported to a hospital, though her injuries weren’t considered life-threatening. The incident prompted authorities to launch a formal investigation, naming Big Tigger as the primary suspect in the alleged assault.

Just days before his arrest, the V-103 morning show host addressed the swirling allegations on air and social media.

“I want to say categorically that these allegations and accusations that have been circulating are false,” he stated publicly. He requested privacy and grace for his family during what he called a difficult period, emphasizing his commitment to living with integrity.

The specifics surrounding the cruelty-to-children charge remain unclear, though Big Tigger welcomed his first son with Alicia in 2025 at age 51.

The arrest also comes amid separate allegations involving his co-host, Francesca Amiker, whom his wife accused of having an affair with Big Tigger.

Amiker has denied those claims, and the exact connection between the May incident and the current charges remains undisclosed by authorities.

Big Tigger’s career in Hip-Hop spans decades, from his early work at WPGC radio to his role as the voice of BET’s most celebrated Hip-Hop program. His tenure hosting “Rap City: Tha Basement” from 1999 to 2005 cemented his status as a cultural institution within the genre.

Big Tigger’s legal team has not yet responded to requests for additional comment regarding the charges or the circumstances surrounding his arrest.
