Cardi B & Offset Go On McDonald's Date In Romantic Super Bowl Commercial

Cardi B and Offset’s McDonald’s Super Bowl commercial is finally here, and it proves food is the way to the heart.

The romantic 60-second spot aired during the big game on Sunday night (February 12), right in time for Valentine’s Day.

The ad opens with a woman explaining if she doesn’t know her boyfriend’s McDonald’s order then she doesn’t really know him, opening the door for several other couples to speak about their significant other’s go-to meal.

“He likes a Quarter Pounder and a Hi-C. No onions, just cheese. He a simple man,” Cardi said off Offset’s favorite order before the topic of French fries came into play.

One of the other boyfriends spoke about getting “points” for sharing their fries, which prompted Offset to say: “If it’s mine, it’s hers. There ain’t no stealing.”

Cardi B took to Twitter after the commercial aired and expressed her excitement over the ad, channeling an old video where she put a sexually explicit spin on McDonald’s “I’m Lovin It” jingle.

“Yall saw our commercial? PARAPAPAPA IM FUCKIN HIM!!!!!! …The CARDI & Offset meal coming 2.14 at your closest McDonald’s,” Cardi tweeted.

The commercial arrives a few days before McDonald’s will launch a new Valentine’s Day meal inspired by Cardi B and Offset. The meal will come with a cheeseburger, Quarter Pounder with cheese, barbecue sauce, large fries, an apple pie, a large Hi-C and a large Coke.

In a photo shared to McDonald’s official Twitter page, the husband and wife duo posed for a date night-themed photoshoot next to their fast food collaboration.

The love that Cardi B and Offset share is a strong one that others have been affected by, such as J Cruz of The Cruz Show on L.A.’s 92.3 The Real, who had his wedding inadvertently ruined by the couple. Last month, Cruz shared a story of how Cardi B and Offset derailed his Rolling Loud wedding plans.

“I was supposed to get married on stage at the show, Rolling Loud,” Cruz told GloRilla who was a guest on the show that day. “And that’s when her and Set were going through it, and Offset surprised her on stage with like, a stage full of roses.”

He continued: “So, I was supposed to get married on stage and since that happened, I was not allowed to do it. I had my whole family there. My wife in her dress, I flew in family members. Mother, father, my mother-in-law, my father-in-law, my sister, my siblings were all there for this big moment. And it was bumped because Offset decided to surprise Cardi with roses.”

When GloRilla asked Cruz why his wedding got “bumped,” he replied: “Because I’m not Offset. I’m nobody. When that happened, it was like forget about you and the family you flew in and the embarrassment you’re about to live for a very long time, the therapy you’re going to have to go through. So I had to move on, and it didn’t happen.”
