Quality control rapper Duke Deuce has returned to further advocate for the resurgence of crunk music with his latest album. Following the release of his Crunkstar album on Friday (June 17), the “Crunk Ain’t Dead” artist joined forces with his female Memphis rap counterpart Gorilla in the official music video for their “Just Say That” collaboration. In addition to fully personifying his “DUKEThoben” pseudonym alias, Duke Deuce and Glorilla both bring a new flavor to old- chool parking lot pimping in the high-energy video, which the 30-year-old rapper revealed via Twitter he directed himself.
Several other artists were also impressed by Glorilla’s guest verse on the record, including Chicago vocalist Jean Deaux, who commended Duke Deuce for recruiting bubbling Black female artists for his massive 20-song project.
“Duke deuce that nigga for havin so many raw ass black girls on his album. Whole project solid,” Jean Deaux wrote.
