Meek Mill Denies Throwing Shade At Lori Harvey: ‘They Confusing Meeee’

Meek Mill has set the record straight on whether he was trying to throw shade in the direction of Lori Harvey earlier this week.

Meek appeared to cause quite a stir on Twitter on Friday (January 13) when one of his tweets looked as if he was taking aim at Harvey and her new beau Damson Idris.

 “Y’all let that gal f#%k anybody,” Meek tweeted.

The timing couldn’t have been worse for Meek as Harvey and the Snowfall star had just gone public with their relationship in a series of photos on their respective Instagram stories.

Some Twitter users took this as an opportunity to point out that Meek mentioned Harvey on his 2018 track “Going Bad.” “I got Lori Harvey on my wish list/ That’s the only thing I want for Christmas,” he raps.

During a performance at Summer Jam 2021, he changed the lyrics: “I took Lori Harvey off my wishlist/ That’s the only thing I wanted for Christmas.”

Attempting to put out the fire, Meek clarified his stance in a response to a Twitter user.

“They really got that pr shit on smash lol they confusing meeee …  it’s sad they got our people confused on high levels or these gotta be bots it’s no way people got that dumbed down,” his tweet read.

In a follow-up tweet, the Philadelphia rapper explained that Idris is his real-life friend and he would never be disrespectful to Harvey.

“Damson my real friend … the shade room posted and made it as I’m coming at him and his lady tf ….. these sites ruined many friendships and families …seeing all that negativity you become that! I stay away from people that live in those comments they be secretly miserable!” he wrote.

Although he had to clear the air with Harvey and Idris, Meek has much to celebrate after recently receiving a pardon from the governor of Pennslyvania.

On Thursday (January 12), Meek shared the official certificate signed by Governor Tom Wolf on Instagram that detailed his prior convictions and that he is no longer required to be monitored by the state.

“The Board of Pardons, after a full hearing, upon due public notice, and in open session, have recommended to me, in writing, with the reason therefore, the pardon of the said Robert R. Williams which recommendation and reasons have been filed in the office of the Lieutenant Governor,” the certificate reads.

“Given under my hand and the Great Seal of the State, at the City of Harrisburg, this 12th day of January in the year of our Lord 2023. By the governor, Tom Wolf,” it added.

Meek Mill shared his excitement by writing in the caption: “Thankyall. I’m only gone do more for my community on god! #newlevelsunlocked.”

Governor Wolf made Meek one of the 369 recipients of a pardon this week, bringing his total to 2,540 since taking office in 2015.
