Meek Mill Reveals Drake 'Going Bad' Collab Made Over $20M - But Has No Idea How Much He Pocketed

Meek Mill has claimed his “Going Bad” collaboration with Drake made over $20 million, but he has no idea what he ended up pocketing from the 2018 track.

The Dream Chasers CEO continued his crusade against major labels and streaming services on Monday (November 21) in the run up to his new independent mixtape Flamerz 5, which arrived on free platforms like DatPiff and Audiomack on Monday (November 21).

“Don’t give me a plaque give me the financial paper of how much the song I recorded for 20k made 20 million … not a award … I’m from the trenches I don’t want that shit I want a estate,” he wrote during a Q&A with fans on Twitter prior to its release. “I want my whole family tree to beat the ghetto!

“I asked drake to do that song 3 days b4 my album came out ‘I think he did for free for me’ we cooked it up …. How tf do I not know how much I made off a song that made that much … they gave me a plaque big mental trickery.”

Meek went on to reveal that he only made $11 million from his musical output in a 10-year span, a figure that left him “shocked” and “mad.”

“I made 11million dollars in 10 years from music ‘just music payments’ I was shocked mad and didn’t wanna really rap for any label,” he added. “Now I got a real point to prove to show you can survive without getting rapped!”

Meek Mill and Drake ended their feud and teamed up for “Going Bad,” which appeared on the former’s Championships album in 2018. The Wheezy-produced anthem went on to reach No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Rhythmic Songs chart.

Flamerz 5, meanwhile, arrived earlier this week with Meek rapping over the likes of GloRilla’s “Tomorrow,” DJ Khaled’s “God Did,” Ice Spice’s “Munch (Feelin’ U),” Lil Wayne’s Dedication 2 classic “Cannon” and more.

The Philly native is planning on dropping a full-fledged album at the top of 2023 (January 1, to be exact). First up for Meek, however, is a homecoming concert at the Wells Fargo Center on November 26 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut LP Dreams & Nightmares.
