Megan Thee Stallion Granted Restraining Order Against 1501 Entertainment
November 15, 2022
Megan Thee Stallion has had an ongoing feud with her label, 1501 Entertainment. The new occurrence in the battle reveals that she was recently granted a restraining order against the independent Houston label.
Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion has officially been granted a restraining order against her label
1501 Certified Entertainment, with whom she has been in an ongoing
feud.
According to
Rolling Stone,
Billboard reports that the restraining order is over the label attempting to block her from promoting her music. The court order comes ahead of the
American Music Awards on November 20, where Megan is nominated for “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist.”
The document claims that the label “unlawfully” took steps “to block” or interfere with Megan’s craft by exploiting or publishing her music leading up to the
AMAs.
In an order filed to Harris County District Court, the “Plan B”
rapper provided evidence that the label recently engaged and “will continue to engage in threatening and retaliatory behavior that will irreparably harm” her music career.
Megan, who is already dealing with an
ongoing case with
Tory Lanez, has had various problems with her in 2022. In February, she filed a $1 million lawsuit and asked for her
freedom from the label, resulting in
1501 countersuing and saying she still owed them money and albums.
Megan has also
accused1501 executive Carl Crawford of being a “coward” and hiding behind label boss J. Prince.
