Megan Thee Stallion Slams 1501 Certified Ent. CEO Carl Crawford Over Countersuit: 'Pill Poppin Ass'

The drama between Megan Thee Stallion and 1501 Certified Entertainment soared to new heights on Monday (March 21) when the label filed a countersuit again the Houston rap star.

The imprint, spearheaded by CEO Carl Crawford, claims the last album Megan Thee Stallion delivered for 1501 wasn’t actually an album at all, and they want more from the 27-year-old. But Megan apparently finds the notion ridiculous and took to Twitter to air out her grievances with her former label, calling them “greedy men.”

“Let me goooo,” she wrote. “First the man over my label said I don’t make him any money … now he counter suing trying to keep me on his label because he wants to make more money lol if I ain’t making you no money why not just drop me?

“My lawyers asked him for an expense report(money 1501 supposedly has spent on ME)… why this grown ass man put his jewelry and chains on there… lord free me from this joke ass label.”

Carl Crawford quickly responded to Megan Thee Stallion’s tweets via Instagram using a screenshot of the TMZ exclusive about the lawsuit.

He wrote in the caption, “Stop playing the victim @theestallion u haven’t paid for 1 show since 2019 hiding behind #Rocnation .. U can keep that bullshit ass mix tape and send over that straight drop whenever u ready.”







But Megan Thee Stallion was nowhere near done and continued to blast Crawford in the wake of his Instagram post, tweeting,

“Carl I don’t wanna be signed to yo pill popping ass!” she fired back. “You talking abt I ain’t paid for a show and you sound slow. Im the artist I don’t pay you directly maybe fight with THE MAN YOU SIGNED TO AND YOU MIGHT SEE SOME MONEY YOU FUCKING POWDER HEAD! You hiding behind J. PRINCE.

“Carl you got a wholeeee contact with 300 and talking shit to me like I got yo fucking money! You are ATTACKING ME ..why? Bc you want to be FAMOUS NOT RICH. Ask KEVIN LILES WHERE YO MONEY AT STUPID.”

Megan Thee Stallion continued, “Also, how can I owe you any of MY money out side of music when your team can’t even provide ACTUAL statements of what i owe… you also haven’t PAID ME since 2019. Your team signed off on SOMETHING FOR THE HOTTIES to count as an ALBUM now it’s not? Jokes.

“People love bringing up roc nation like hell yeah my team is great am I supposed to have a bad one?… and what abt it bitch.”

Last month, Megan Thee Stallion was fuming after seeing Crawford’s Instagram post about her decision to dismiss her lawsuit against the label and Rap-A-Lot Records founder J. Prince.

He wrote in the caption, “Only the real [H] town can relate. Now tell em to run my bread dating all the way back from 2018.” He added an angry emoji at the end, suggesting he was still upset about the entire ordeal.

Megan re-posted his remarks to her Instagram account and clarified she’s still suing him for money she says 1501 Certified Entertainment owes her.

“This dude never know wtf is going on with his business,” she wrote. “The case that Was dismissed against you was from when you wasn’t trying to let me drop music … you and 300 signed off and let me drop music so there is no case no more… we are most definitely STILL IN COURT and YOU STILL GETTING SUED BC YOU OWE ME MONEY!!!

“I AINT NEVER BEEN PAID FROM 1501 IN MY LIFE ! I make money bc im MEGAN THEE STALLION ! Grown ass men wanna bully me and eat off my name and paint me out as a villain online bc they know these bandwagon ass haters gone eat that shit up ! I dont even be saying shit to you lame ass n-ggas bc the TRUTH always comes out.”

The lawsuit she was referring to was originally filed in March 2020 after she accused 1501 Certified Entertainment and J. Prince of blocking her from releasing new music after she asked to renegotiate what she believed was an unfair contract she signed at the onset of her career.

Crawford dismissed the allegations at the time, saying, “It’s a whole lie. Nothing is true that she said. Me being greedy and taking money from her, that’s crazy. I never tried to take nothing from her. The only thing we ever did was give, give, give.”
