Memphis Bleek Warns Lil Wayne: “Stop Digging Your Own Hole”—Urges Nicki Minaj To “Chill” Over JAY-Z Diss

Memphis Bleek shared some advice to Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne following Minaj’s recent jab at JAY-Z and the NFL over Weezy being passed over for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in his hometown of New Orleans.

Speaking to TMZ on Monday (June 16), the Brooklyn rapper addressed Minaj’s verse on the remix of “Banned From NO,” where she rapped, “NFL, fire some n##### and then call us.”

The bar was widely seen as a direct swipe at both the NFL and JAY-Z, who has played a significant role in curating the league’s entertainment partnerships through Roc Nation.

Bleek, who has long been a loyal Roc-A-Fella soldier, responded with a lighthearted warning.

“Why? If they fire us, they don’t need no more n#####,” he said, laughing. “So, when we done, you ain’t gone’ be able to get that bag. Chill out. We cleaning up, baby girl. You should come clean up with us.”

Despite the critique, Bleek made it clear he holds no animosity toward Minaj. “I love Nicki Minaj,” he said. “I have no harsh words for the Queen of rap.”

He also showed love to Wayne, calling him his “brother,” but didn’t mince words when asked if the New Orleans legend still had a shot at the NFL stage.

“It would be if you stop digging your own hole,” Bleek said. “Antagonizing and mentioning stuff… Let them come to you. The more you want something, the more it runs from you.”

Nicki Minaj’s criticism of JAY-Z isn’t new. Last September, she tweeted, “One n###a took a knee The other n###a took the bag,” after Kendrick Lamar was announced as the Super Bowl headliner. “He gon get you ‘n###ers’ in line every f###### time.”

She followed up with, “Got everything in the world. Still spiteful & evil. Disgusting.”
