Pharrell Opens BBC ICECREAM Miami Flagship Store
October 21, 2022
Miami, FL – Pharrell has opened a flagship Billionaire Boys Club ICECREAM store in Miami and Skateboard P hosted a launch event earlier this week.
On Thursday (October 20) fans got the opportunity to get a first look at the newest trendy addition to Wynwood’s Art District. The 5,000-square foot store will function as one part marketplace giving off art gallery vibes with the other serving as a “canvas” for emerging local artists to experiment.
“The goal is to create an experience. We didn’t want a store where you come in, buy clothes and leave. The flagship store serves as a space where art, culture, fashion, and streetwear come together to immerse the public into our world so that when they leave the space, they’ll feel like they experienced something and are better for it.”
A few special guests were in the building for the launch party such as N.O.R.E., Trina, Flo Rida and more. “Literally spent a big to support Pharrell and BBC,”
N.O.R.E. said on Twitter.
In addition to exclusive collaborations, the BBC store will carry brands such as Billionaire Girls Club, Bee Line, Human Made, Adidas, Comme des Garçons PLAY and more.
It’s been a busy week for Skateboard P as Pharrell also launched his inaugural Joopiter Auction sale, which found him
paying homage to Slick Rick.
“The reason why there is even an exhibition is because of Rick the Ruler,” he said. “I’m a crumb! I will always be a crumb to this guy right here. I learned what a Gucci link was because of this guy right here. I learned what a Cuban was because of this guy right here.”
He continued: “This is the king, king, king. He would not have several photos with a king’s crown on. The king! This is my brother David, my brother Bill, us driving around in Norfolk in Virginia Beach in my brother’s car, listening to the first Slick Rick album
Children’s Story … over and over again, over and over again.”
