Snoop Dogg Launches Aptly-Named Pet Products Brand
December 10, 2003
Snoop Dogg has launched his own pet products line, where the West Coast rap mogul will sell stylish clothing, toys and other accessories for dogs.
As for the name of Snoop’s latest venture, it’s a bit on the nose, as the partnership with Little Earth Productions, Inc. will be called Snoop Doggie Doggs. Everything from hoodies, pajamas, sports jerseys, leashes, plush toys and more will be available on Amazon for those looking to swag out their canine companion.
The clothing designs, which include a doggy baseball cap featuring Snoop’s unique braids, will also sport catchy phrases such as “Throw a Dogg a Bone.”
“If my dogs ain’t fresh, I ain’t fresh. These dogs and their apparel are a reflection of Tha Dogg himself, so they gotta look the role of a Top Dog, ya dig?!?!” Snoop Dogg said in a statement. He also posted a hilarious trailer on Instagram to unveil the new line.
Snoop Doggie Doggs is just the latest business venture the rap legend has attached his name to in 2022. Snoop has mostly been dabbling in food, and in September, announced plans to
open up a restaurant with Gordon Ramsay. “I have been speaking with my boy Gordon for a while about opening a restaurant together – but the pandemic slowed things right down,” Snoop said in an interview with
The Mirror, adding: “I met up with my boy Gordon and he has taught me a few things.”
Aside from being three seasons into his
Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Party Challenge TV show on
VH1, Tha Doggfather also
unveiled his Snoop Loopz cereal back in August.
The cereal, which will exist under the Broadus Foods umbrella, will be added to the rapper’s
new breakfast line, which also includes oatmeal, grits, pancake mix and syrup that all supports charitable organizations such as Door of Hope.
Snoop has also been feeding his fans a ton of new music this year. He most recently dropped off his
Gangsta Grillz mitape I Still Got It, with DJ Drama in October.
Before that, he celebrated his return to Death Row Records (which he now owns) with the aptly-titled 19th studio album
Bacc On Death Row, which boasted appearances from Nas, T.I., The Game, DaBaby, Wiz Khalifa and more. Snoop announced last month that a
new album with Dr. Dre is currently in the works.
The 51-year-old could soon be
inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, with the 54th Annual Induction & Awards Gala taking place on June 15, 2023 in New York City. Snoop was nominated in the performing songwriter category alongside the likes of Blondie, R.E.M. and Patti Smith.
