Witness Said There Was A ‘Woman Holding The Gun’ At The Assault Trial of Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez (Day 11)
December 20, 2022
The jury heard testimony from a 911 caller who said he saw a woman holding the gun the wee hours of July 2020 when Megan Thee Stallion was shot at after a fight with Tory Lanez and Kelsey Harris.
As day 12 of the trial of singer, Daystarr Peterson, also known as Tory Lanez unfolds at the Los Angeles Superior Court, the 9-11 caller, Sean Kelly, said he saw Lanez and Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former assistant, with the gun.
Kelly recalled waking up to his child after hearing the commotion outside. He said that night he went to put his child back to bed when he saw through the windows a bleeding Megan hobbling to the driveway across from his home.
When he was questioned by Lanez’ defense, he said he saw Harris holding the gun. Harris at the time of the shooting was also Megan’s assistant and college best friend.
He called 9-11. He was interviewed by LAPD detective Ryan Stogner, later by the prosecution and the defense.
Once the prosecution began their cross-examination, Kelly later said he also saw Lanez with the gun at some point.
After the lunch break, Kelly is still expected on the witness stand.
Los Angeles Superior Court district attorneys replayed the body camera footage from multiple angles from the Los Angeles Police Department,, including, LAPD’s Sandra Cabral.
Cabral is the officer who arrested Megan Thee Stallion’s former assistant and best friend, Kelsey Harris.
The body camera footage showed two angles of the arrest — one with Cabral arresting Harris and the other of an injured Megan escorted onto the ambulance.
“Megan are you ok,” a concerned Harris is heard asking on the video.
